JOB DESCRIPTION:

Senior-level PHP/LAMP developer with 5+ years experience.

Will code, debug, and unit test systems per requirements and technical design

Extensive OOD / OOP experience

Ability to propose, advocate and critique design alternatives to determine solutions

Hands-on experience with web application architecture and relational database design

Experience of MVC design patterns and frameworks.

Ability to write and consume SOAP & REST web services.

Hands on experience with the following PHP modules: CURL, SoapClient (WSDL mode), libXML, Memcache, PCRE, SQLITE, etc

Hands on experience on Smarty, XSLT

Hands on knowledge of best practices for cross-platform, cross-browser compatibility.

Experience with web application development on mobile platforms is desired.

Proficiency with the LAMP environment (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) with hands on knowledge of the Linux shell and Apache configuration.

Strong TCP/IP concepts is a must along with ability to analyze network traffic using tools like WireShark.

Proficiency with front-end scripting including: HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, JSON and front-end development including jQuery, Closure Tools, MooTools, etc.

Hands on knowledge of UI optimization techniques and experience of working with UI performance measurement tools like Yslow, Firebux, Fiddler, HTTPWatch, Page Speed, DynaTrace, etc.

Experience with web application load testing tools like Jmeter, Load-Intelligence, etc.

Experience with internet security and ethical hacking concepts. Should be able to secure a web application against vulnerability & penetration attacks.

Strong SQL development skills (should be proficient with queries using JOIN, UNION, aggregation and conditional functions) and design skills (data normalization, foreign key constraints, indexes, etc)

Experience on messaging platforms and protocols like SMTP, POP3, IMAP, Jabber, IMPS, etc is desired.
